Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000

Position Summary:
Reports to the Director of Health and Wellness, sharing responsibility for the planning, implementation and evaluation of all resident care prescribed and provided, with oversight of all clinical programming. Expected to perform independently and exercise good judgement.
Responsibilities:
In case of absence of the Director of Health and Wellness, fill in and assume all Director-level responsibilities for all resident care areas.
Provides services in accordance with state/federal nursing center regulation and the Department of Public Health rules and regulations.
Participate in pre-admission assessments for prospective residents.
Participate in all staff development programming to expand and develop their abilities.
Perform admission, monthly, and periodic reviews on residents for functional and mental abilities.
Review and revise assessments and care plans at admission, periodically per regulation, and at change in resident physical or psychosocial condition.
Review and transcribe physician orders and help physician with resident examination, and provide medical treatments as ordered by the physician.
Administer and document medication in accordance with the five rights: right medication, right route, right resident, right time, and right dose.
Monitor resident treatments as ordered by Physician.
Supervise and monitor medications for residents who self-administer.
Observe residents and report condition changes to physicians, health care proxies, and supervisors.
Support and maintain harmonious relations with residents, and communicate with family members, visitors, and all members of the Health Team.
Assist residents with residents meeting their nutritional needs, and document in the nursing record.
Monitor mealtime and nourishment of residents.
Answer residents call lights promptly.
Promote and participate in the education of staff, residents, and family members.
Respond to calls from Independent Living as they arise.
Participate in risk management and quality assurance programs for the entire community.
Qualifications:
Associates degree in Nursing required.
At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in the long-term care industry.
LPN license in FL required.
Knowledge of medical/nursing practices and procedures, laws, regulation and guidelines pertaining to the senior living industry.
Experience with clinical and diagnostic procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, interpret, and manage programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and resources necessary to provide quality of care.
