Position Summary:
Contribute to the overall company initiatives and strategies by analyzing business needs from the HR perspective and make decisions and recommendations with the partnership of the management team. Lead and oversee all aspects of Human Resource practice and processes across the organization. Develop and promote HR initiatives and continue to build corporate and company structure, to further the strategic goals of the business. Provide research, advice, and benchmark material as needed. This role is critical in ensuring the strategic alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function. The ideal candidate should have extensive HR experience in a senior-focused health system or organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for the continued development and implementation of HR Structure, both at the corporate level and throughout the company.
•Responsible for actively hiring and retaining team members, serving as a mentor to them.
•Encourage creativity and retention through an inventive and enlightening selection process, communications, training, growth opportunities, rewards, and recognition.
•Boldly protects and promotes the company brand identity in all internal and external communications.
•Set a “high expectations” strategy in their direction of the Human Resources Department in support of the company’s overall goals.
•Establish department standards, guidelines, and objectives, maintain other administrative processes such as budgeting and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of all areas.
•Track standardized feedback reports/systems/tools to measure HR progress and keep the COO and other executives appropriately apprised of results and initiatives.
•Prepare HR operating budget, monitors budgetary compliance and acts on budget variance.
•Manage, motivate, evaluate, and direct HR Staff to ensure team members receive adequate guidance to achieve their established department objectives.
•Responsible for morale of the HR department and its team members through quality supervision.
•Drive company-wide initiatives, including team member engagement and satisfaction surveys, new hire and exit surveys, and performance measures affiliated with specific services.
•Ensure company-wide compliance with employment practices, benefits, insurance, safety regulations, and applicable laws. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and best practices in employment law, human resources practices, and talent management.
•Partner with key business unit leaders to develop and implement policies, procedures, job descriptions, employee relations, administration, organizational design, payroll, benefits, and compensation planning to improve overall organizational performance.
•Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing operations, employee retention and engagement, learning and development, and total rewards.
•Leverage workforce analytics and insights to focus leaders on relevant business issues and strategic people-centered opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required. Master’s Degree in Human Resources, organizational development, or related field preferred
•SHRM certification, or other HR certification preferred.
•5 - 10 years of related professional HR experience, preferably in health care or senior living, including supervisory responsibilities.
•Extensive experience and knowledge in HR practices, employment laws, standards, and regulations.
•Proven experience and knowledge of strategic relationship building and conflict resolution are required.
•Experience in activating human capital as a strategic contributor to long-term organizational success.
•Demonstrated success in project management, including organizational and planning skills.
•Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, across all levels of the organization.
•Leadership ability and an ability to influence others directly and indirectly. •Skills in coaching, delegating (with accountability), and facilitating.
•Demonstrated HR acumen—skills and knowledge in human-resource topics including, EEOC, investigations/mediation, performance management, payroll/compensation/benefits, legal/compliance, policies/procedures, best-practice HR administration.
•Strong analytical skills including basic financial acumen and skills in building the economics of a business case.
•Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office, Internet, and e-mail, HRIS applications/platforms.
